Congratulations to Jenny Bobo who was selected, along with another candidate from New Mexico to represent the USA in the Cecchetti International Classical Ballet Competition in Calgary, Alberta this July.  Jenny is 12 years old, a pre-professional student at The Link and has passed cecchetti examinations through Grade 5 with an average rating of: Highly Commended.  She will be taking her Grade 6 exam this coming June and is also working on Grade 7 advanced work and Diploma (Grade 8) in Cecchetti. The Cecchetti International Ballet Competition hosts this competition every four(4) years and solicits participation from students across the United States, Italy, Japan, Australia,   Master Teachers from countries all over the world will be adjudicating the process and cash prizes of up to $11,000.00 will be awarded.  Participants may not be older than 19 years and cannot be professional dancers at the time of the competition.  Jenny will be performing the classical variation of Giselle – Act 1 and a contemporary piece titled, “Left Behind” by Cindy Morgan.  We are extremely excited for this wonderful opportunity afforded Jenny and, are asking the Link family for their prayers of peace, strength, courage and support for Jenny to be successful in all that she does during this competition.
