Betty Mitchell

Ballet Instructor
In 1976, Betty began dancing with “The Glory Dancers”, a Christian interpretive ballet company. The Company toured locally, regionally and nationally for approximately ten years, communicating the Gospel message through dance. Betty received her early training with Jean Nuccilli, O’Day School Of Dance, and Rosemarie Floyd Studio of Ballet. She continues her ballet studies and is a certified teacher of the Cecchetti Council of America. In 1986, Betty became Director of Dance at Bethesda Christian Church where classes were offered for preschoolers-adult. In December, 1994, Betty started dance ministry at Kensington Community Church, where the school grew to approximately 250 students. As a member of CCA, she has participated in many master classes, including the International Ballet Teacher’s workshop — David Howard, and Houston Ballet Academy principal instructors Priscilla Nathan-Murphy and Victoria Vittum. Betty attends Word of Faith International Christian Center, Southfield, MI—Bishop Keith Butler, Sr. Pastor .
